ABOUT the ICU
What is Inner Child Healing and the Inner Care Unit?
The Inner Care Unit is a healing modality developed to learn inner child healing and proactive self care. The practices and ideas presented are not professional opinions and are offered with love and sincere hopes for a better life quality for all human beings.
Through Inner Child healing, we can develop better coping mechanisms and tools for recognizing triggers and sabotaging thoughts. The goal is to end repetitive cycles of unhealthy behavior, stemming from childhood trauma. These wounds may show up as angry emotional outbursts, stifling one’s true potential, and having tumultuous and toxic relationships (among many other things, depending on the specific childhood trauma.)
THE APPROACH
Health, Movement, Wellbeing
Inner child work is a form of introspection that focuses on acknowledging childhood trauma to move toward a path of healing. It is a method of addressing the behavior patterns rooted in childhood abuse, emotional neglect, and trauma. Inner child healing is important because it recognizes past trauma and provides the necessary tools for moving forward. Understanding where certain behavior patterns stem from is an important step in the recovery process. This helps individuals access their pain in a way that is productive and gentle.

Learn about inner child healing and how to heal from triggers and overwhelming emotions.
This workshop is fun and lighthearted, but also has a serious message to use introspection to heal repressed emotions. If you are plagued by people pleasing, sabotaging good relationships or jobs, being irresponsible or messy, or depression and anxiety, we will learn to address and rewire these behaviors.
We are here to nurture a healthy inner child who has a strong adult self-parent to care for it's needs.
Using workshops, homework , and our Coloring and Activity Book, you can learn to heal those your unconscious triggers to create
L A S T I N G Happiness!
We will start to foster self-awareness. This self-discovery is a key component of inner child work, as consistent reflection enables you to reach a better understanding of your younger self. To heal from past trauma, you must be open to acknowledging how your pain impacts your behaviors and decisions. Reflecting on your past and developing a stronger sense of emotional awareness improves your self-esteem.
Practice self-care. Prioritize time for doing things you enjoy. Fostering your creativity and passions helps reimagine the youthful part of your adult self. Spending time each day tending to your own needs is an important way of practicing self-love and allowing yourself the time to heal.

About the Facilitator
Christina Fumiko
For the past five years I have been delving into the idea of regressing my psyche back to childhood in order to heal some traumatic events.
When I was seven years old my two brothers and I went into foster care. Those six years of trauma during my early development had a huge impact on my adult life that I was not even AWARE OF!
Had I really been picking the wrong men the whole time because I only knew what abusive love looked like? Had I been sabotaging my own success and happiness because I was still that scared child who had no things of her own or parents to care for her?
The answer was YESS I'm still that trapped little girl trying to keep herself safe but not connecting to others, or allowing BLISS!
Once I met my inner child and started to listen to her needs my whole life changed... I went from single sad and homeless to happily married homeowner in five years!
But it takes a
CONSCIOUS CHOICE TO START LOVING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!
